Amy Thomson - Centre Coordinator

Amy joined the Gold Foundation in May 2016 as the first employee after 9 years of running solely with volunteer support. The Centre Coordinator position is part-time with the centre open Wednesday and Thursday’s.

Amy has a background in management and centre coordination working for Not-for-Profits and Community organisations across Australia. With a particular focus on supporting children, young people and their carers.

As Centre Coordinator Amy will continue to grow the programs we offer for children with Asperger Syndrome and their families and connect with the community.

At our programs and events there is always such a sense of belonging amongst our participants and families. It’s clear that Gold Foundation’s mission is strong.

I recently heard a quote that ‘If you do what you love, then you never truly have to work a day in your life’. That’s how I feel about working at the Gold Foundation, it just fits. I am thrilled to work with our wonderful team and take Gold Foundation on its onward journey.

Simone Gawel & Staci Konstas - Program Facilitators

Simone & Staci make a wonderful team facilitating our programs. These include Youth Group, What’s the Buzz and You Can Do It. They also love coming to our family events and being involved every chance they get!

“ ‘Life is not about the breaths you take but the moments that take your breath away’, for me, that’s when I see happy kids!” Staci

“I feel a wonderful sense of achievement when I see the kids ‘bounce’ through the door all smiles, eager to catch up and socialize with their new friends.  The children love their time spent at the Gold Foundation always leaving just as effusive.  Watching the children’s social skills and confidence evolve and grow throughout the program fills me will pride and joy” Simone
